State's Attorney's Office for Cook County and Chicago in Shambles

They are beyond being in trouble. They can't see trouble in the rear-view mirror. They are in a crisis. Chicago crime frustrations mount against State's Attorney Kim Foxx as 'mass exodus' continues: source

It is probably fair to say that it to everyone's attention in July when a veteran prosecutor, Jim Murphy, resigned, and issued a scathing letter about Kim Foxx, the State's Attorney for Cook County, and her soft-on-crime policies. It has continued.

Four Cook County Assistant State's Attorneys (ASAs) recently resigned from Foxx's Felony Review Unit — three of whom quit on the same day — all within the past two weeks, a source familiar with the matter told Fox News Digital.

If it was only 5 people, that might be something you could work around.

More than 235 people have resigned from Foxx's office since July 2021, according to The Chicago Tribune.

Recruiting is also a problem, because even people who agree with the soft-on-crime Progressive stance of Foxx, don't want to join a losing team.

The 7 or 8 minute video at the link above is worth your time. It covers a lot of crime and policing issues from various locations, including a great bit on politicians in Washington running away from anyone who asks a tough question.

And even though this story originated with Fox News (not what it used to be) they do emphasize that serious crimes are down since last year (the worst year in decades in Chicago), but admit that things were better a few short years ago.

Murders and shootings are up since 2020, 2019 and 2018.

Civilization is built on security, on the knowledge that you won't have everything taken from you by a thug. Without law and order, businesses will shut down, anyone who can will move away, and everything will fall apart. The Democrats apparently want some of that to happen, because they are doing stuff to make it happen all over the country.

Civilization was nice while it lasted.
