Ruined Leon has a video on the Twitter response to self-defense in Ohio. Twitter is aghast that in Ohio people have the right to use lethal force against folks breaking down their doors to gain entry to their homes. And yes, in this case he had broken the door and gained entry. The homeowner, didn't wait for more than that. Once the door was broken, he opened fire.

The key part of the story is that he was the "ex-boyfriend." He apparently had a problem with that, because he showed up at the family home of his ex-girlfriend and broke in. It was a bad decision.
