Just another day in NYC. Axe-wielding madman runs amok in NYC McDonald’s — and nobody was lovin’ it
He got into a dispute with 3 other men.
The three men smacked a smirking Palacios, who then is seen on video putting his right arm against his head before calmly walking over to his backpack, where he pulled out an axe and then threatened his combatants and frightened patrons.
He didn't hurt anyone, but he did thousands of dollars worth of damage. This incident took place at 2:25 AM, proving once again that Bo Schembechler was right when he said, "Nothing good ever happens after midnight."
The axe-wielding guy was arrested on several charges. It remains to be seen if the DAs in NYC will actually make any of that stick.
In the meantime, he has been released without bail. Madman seen smashing NYC McDonald’s with an ax is released without bail.
Keeping him in jail would be unfair.
Michael Palacios, 31, who allegedly grabbed an ax and trashed the Delancey Street fast-food joint early Friday, was arraigned on fourth-degree criminal mischief and possession-of-weapons charges hours later and freed, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office said.
Neither charge is eligible for bail under the state’s lenient criminal justice reforms.
Now it remains to be seen how long until he is in court, or if they will drop the charges for some reason.
