Not too well if you count the number of victims, and CWB Chicago is counting victims and offenders. I'm shocked that a lack of consequences results in no change to behavior. I'm shocked that violent criminals remain violent criminals, even if you have a judge give them a stern talking-to.
First up a gang shooting. #35: One week after being released on felony gun charge, man shot and killed rival gang member in random attack, prosecutors say
One of the accused men, Julius Hernandez, was released from custody to await trial for a pending felony gun charge in juvenile court exactly one week before the murder.
Hernandez, who turned 18 on June 18, is the 35th person accused of killing or shooting—or attempting to kill or shoot—someone in Chicago while awaiting trial for a felony this year. The alleged crimes involved at least 69 victims, 17 of whom died.
Next, a rolling gunfight. #36: Driver exchanged shots with gunman in another car while on felony bail, prosecutors say - CWB Chicago
Prosecutors say a man who was convicted of exchanging shots in a rolling gunbattle in 2019 was once again engaged in a shootout while traveling in a car in Chicago this week. Naheem King, 22, was himself shot during the incident while having a hand bandaged from a previous gunshot wound and while on bail for a felony, officials said.
King is the 36th person accused of killing or shooting—or attempting to kill or shoot—someone in Chicago while awaiting trial for a felony this year. The alleged crimes involved at least 70 victims, 17 of whom died.
There is so much more. Click thru. CWB Chicago is one of the few (two?) news organizations in that city that are willing to question the official narrative that all is well and crime is down. Give them some support if you can.
Civilization is based on security. If you don't believe that you will be able to enjoy the fruits of your labors, you won't build for the future. That basis is crumbling in places like Chicago, and New York, and Baltimore, and...

So a black cop is killed by 2 black men out on parole. Where are the riots, the protests, the pundits on the Liberal News Networks? I guess his life doesn't matter as much as some others.
