The Nigerian senator and his wife are in custody.
The alleged victim is said to have refused to consent to the procedure after undergoing tests at the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead.
It is alleged the Ekweremadus treated him as a slave before he escaped and went to Staines police station, Surrey.
Like I said, I don't expect the US media to say much. I could be mistaken.
The West is so preoccupied with our history of slavery that ended a century ago that we often forget that the practice is still rampant in most of the world in some form or another.
But if they acknowledged that, then they might have to admit that their sports shoes are made by slave labor in China. And then they might have to look at other stuff, like child laborers mining for cobalt in The Congo...
