Manhattan DA Wakes Up and Smells the Fail

And relatives of dead people don't like self-defense. Jose Alba: Manhattan DA Drops Bodega Worker's Murder Charge | National Review

The liberal DA’s decision comes after weeks of criticism of Bragg’s decision to send the 61-year-old to Riker’s Island and charge him with second-degree murder in the death of 35-year-old Austin Simon. Bragg first requested Alba’s bail be set at $500,000 before it was lowered to $50,000 in response to criticism from the community. He was later released on a $5,000 bail bond.

This is not a new story. The only thing that is new is that Alvin Bragg couldn't deny that he was being an idiot. Well, he never really admitted that this is clearly self-defense, because it takes a big man to admit when he's wrong. Alvin Bragg apparently doesn't have that much character.

As for the relatives...

Simon’s cousin, Candra Simon, spoke out against the decision to drop the charges on Tuesday saying, “We are all clearly disappointed and can’t understand how it’s OK to take an unarmed man’s life,” according to the New York Times.

“This decision sets a dangerous precedent,” the cousin added.

Yeah. Dangerous for criminal attackers. Of course, even in the Deep Blue state of New York, it is not a precedent for self-defense to be considered a legal right.

Though the DA did not acknowledge that. Alvin Bragg isn't the biggest turd masquerading as a DA in America, but he is probably the biggest one in the state of New York.
