He thought that a string of home invasions was a good idea. Lincoln County crime spree ends when homeowner shoots, kills suspect
Police got a call about a home invasion. The bad guy had already left. Then they got a call about a 2nd home invasion where he had assaulted 2 people. Then they got a call that he was trying to break into another home.
As deputies arrived on that scene, they heard a gunshot at a nearby residence.
As they arrived to the home where the gunshot occurred, they found that a man had been shot while trying to hit someone with his car. The man was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The homeowner who defended himself has not been charged, because Mississippi is not Manhattan, and self-defense is a human-right.
Homeowner has not been charged.... yet. Give it 6 months and we'll see if some prosecutor is going to try to make a political statement and file charges. Because that's often the way these shoots go.
ReplyDeleteIn New Jersey? Sure. In Mississippi? I'm not so sure.
