First up, an anti-gay hate crime. Ex-Howard Stern show regular, 69, targeted with homophobic slurs while jogging.
A hater hurled homophobic slurs and threats at a former Howard Stern show regular who was jogging in Manhattan last month, hissing “Kill the f—-t” and throwing a white substance on his head, police said Thursday.
“Elegant” Elliot Keith Offen, who often talked on the radio program about jogging around the city in women’s clothing, was targeted at around 8:25 p.m. Feb. 21 at 77th Street and Second Avenue on the Upper East Side, cops said.
Not sure why this was just in the news on Thursday.
Then, another anti-gay hate crime, but this time it is on the subway. Video shows subway rider beaten, swung around by hair by homophobic attacker.
Shocking video shows a homophobic subway rider swinging a stranger around by the hair — ripping some of it out — after spitting at him and saying, “I’m sick of all you f–s,” according to cops.
The bigot — who was caught smiling widely after the attack — had sat opposite the 22-year-old victim on an A train as it was approaching the 190th Street subway station in Hudson Heights just before 2:30 p.m. Saturday, the NYPD said.
Also not sure why that was in the news Thursday. That must be the day for reporting hate crimes.
The authorities won't call this a hate crime, because it was a white couple accosted by a black man. Former NYPD cop slashed at Wall Street subway station
He was slashed after the attacker — who was carrying a FedEx bag — first spat at him and his wife as they all got off the train at the same time, cops said.
Couldn't possibly be a hate crime. After he spit at them, he drew a knife and slashed the man in the arm.
When law and order are not upheld, society will disintegrate, first around the edges and then at the core. While I don't characterize NYC Mayor Adams as "the best," stories like these do bring to mind "The Second Coming" by W. B. Yeats.
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
Things are getting bad enough for the people of NYC to notice, and call on the powers-that-be. I don't think they will stop voting for the Woke, any time soon.
