It Is Hard to Say Which Was the Stupidest Move?

The cops for putting a bad-guy in jail while he was still armed. OR... 2-time felon tried to flush a gun down his cell toilet at CPD station, prosecutors say - CWB Chicago

Police arrested Tavarus Walker, 24, on November 14 after they allegedly found a gun near his seat during a traffic stop in Chicago Lawn. Officers took Walker to the 8th District police station and put him into a holding cell.

Unbeknownst to officers, Walker had another gun in his waistband, according to the allegations. Surveillance video from the holding cell shows Walker removing the gun from his pants and putting it into the toilet, Assistant State’s Attorney John Gnilka said.

Stupid is as stupid does.

And then there is the public defender.

Assistant Public Defender Suzin Farber said Walker has a wife and two kids.

I guess she had to say something on her client's behalf, but how exactly does that equate to anything about his crime?

Walker was convicted of being a felon in possession of a weapon in 2016. If he had faced federal charges on that, I think he would still be in jail. But that, of course would be unfair.

And in case there is any doubt about the Justice System (so called) in Cook County and Chicago, he was let out of jail on $2000 bond. They won't lock him up until after he actually kills someone.
