New South Wales has invited fully vaccinated Covid-positive nurses to work in hospitals, but continues to ban Covid-negative unvaccinated staff.
The bizarre scenario that appears to defy logic has been caused by severe staff shortages.
The staff shortages were caused by dismissing unvaccinated staff.
So they dismissed unvaccinated staff to protect vaccinated people from the unvaccinated, and now they are bringing on contagious-but-vaccinated staff because of the shortages they incurred after step 1.
