2021 in the Windy City

HeyJackass! brings us the Year In Review.

We thought 2020 was a shitshow until 2021 showed up and said, “hold my beer and watch this”. The reverse “downward trend” never really took a breather, but we have yet to hear if this is “unacceptable” or simply just a “misconception”.

Final tally: 846 killed, with 3,748 shot and wounded. That compares to 797 and 3451 in 2020, and 520 and 2291 in 2019.

Click thru for more stats like how many #ShotInTheAss, selfies, how many days were homicide-free, and more.

I will just cite the following:

1800+ carjackings (+300% vs 2019)

With a pro-criminal, non-prosecutor, in the State's Attorney's office, and a judiciary that thinks it is wrong to keep violent offenders in jail, expect 2022 to look a lot like 2020 and 2021.
