15-Year-Old Eline Roebers Wins German Chess Open

Open means everyone competes without divisions for age, sex, etc. 15-Year-Old Eline Roebers Wins German Open Tournament - Chess.com.

Eline Roebers, only 15 years old, became the first-ever female winner of the Untergrombach Open on Saturday. Still untitled, the very talented Dutch player defeated GM Vyacheslav Ikonnikov in the final round to finish in sole first place with 6.5/7.

I thought I had read that the winner of Untergrombach Open would receive about $1000, but I can't find any information on that right now, so maybe it was a different tournament.

Roebers has yet to be awarded a title, but I think she qualifies at least for an FIDE Master title. She has completed at least one International Master Title condition. And beating a Grandmaster can't hurt. It will be interesting to see how far she can go.
