Can You Gaslight an Entire State about a Politician?

Apparently you can, if you are a major media outlet with a near-monopoly in a state.

The media in Australia manages to be even more absurd than the media in the USA. And there are plenty of people ready to point out the absurdity. Case in point, friendlyjordies.

The former premiere of the state of New South Wales, Gladys Berejiklian, stepped down ahead of an Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) investigation. It seems a lot of people don't understand why. (It's only government corruption, after all.) They don't understand why because the "news" never reported the news.

There's a reason that everyone liked Gladys, and that is that you never saw the real Gladys. You saw a fictional character that the press fan-fictioned.

This is where I recite one of my favorite aphorisms. "Everyone is lying to you." The media. The government. The schools. The politicians. The cops. Everyone. Is. Lying. To. You.

More on the press. What they emphasize, what they hide, and more.

This is the friendlyjordies video for the Cult of Gladys Berejiklian
