Harris confronted the boy about 10:15 Saturday morning about the whereabouts of a digital memory card she had removed from her vehicle the previous night, according to Cook County State's Attorney Eugene Wood.
After he was unable to produce the memory card when his mother demanded it at gunpoint, she shot him, Wood said Sunday during Harris' initial court appearance.
If you use USB thumb drives, you know that they are easy to lose. They are small, convenient, and cheap. But are they worth killing over?
To shoot someone over a misplaced "digital memory card" is insane. (Crazy People Are Dangerous.) And she will be evaluated for her ability to stand trial.

Guessing that the chip held destination info on the company "vehicle". If she can't turn it in, she's in for milage and a penalty. It's Chicago. It's probably easier to get out of a murder charge than try and explain to a worthless boss.
