Abhi Mishru - World's Youngest Chess Grandmaster

A 12-year-old kid... Abhimanyu Mishra Becomes Youngest Grandmaster In Chess History. He goes by Abhi.

IM Abhimanyu Mishra became the youngest chess grandmaster in history today. The 12-year-old player from New Jersey scored his third GM norm in Budapest, having already crossed the required 2500 Elo rating barrier.

Elo ratings are a way of judging relative strength among competitors. It is used in chess, and other sports. 2500 is astounding. The highest rated player in the world, Magnus Carlson, has a rating of 2847.
