Prosecutor: Nothing Gets in the Way of Our Authority

This story is from Australia, but you can find similar stories from Canada, and the US. Cops and Prosecutors the world over are more concerned about you obeying their authority than they are about such things a Liberty and Justice. Religious Freedom? They are the .gov and you should only worship them. Victoria Police tells court they are concerned by strongly held beliefs.

This is a story about the bail hearing for Pastor Paul Furlong who spent 17 days in jail (14 in solitary, without access to his bible) for the horrible crime of holding church services.

Luke Holmes [The Prosecutor] said more than 5 times that the Pastor is very dogmatic in his views, He explained, “Mr Furlong holds his beliefs very strongly, which is a concern for us”.

Those are "strongly held" religious convictions. The man is pastor of the Christian Revival Church. Did you think he was going to be agnostic? So, strongly held religious convictions a problem for the state of Victoria. Sounds like Communist China and Victoria have something in common.

It is interesting to note that Holmes appeared via webcam wearing a mask. He was alone in a closed room. Is he stupid enough to believe that the virus can travel through the internet? Don't answer that.

From Hong Kong, where pro-democracy newspapers are being shut down for "endangering security of the state," to Australia where pastors are arrested and held in solitary because you are questioning our authority, to Canada where pastors are hauled out of their churches, in violation of the law, and the churches are locked by the state, police and prosecutors everywhere - including in the US - are more than happy to trample on rights. They are the state and you should shut up and do what they tell you to do.

And to those of you silly enough to believe that police in the US will come down on the side of Liberty, look back at what took place in Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina. Cops from all over the US were happy to go along with a sheriff who said, "I hereby suspend the Constitution - specifically the 2nd Amendment." They all decided that being jack-booted thugs looked like a good career opportunity.
