They always are. Neighbors shocked after homeowner shoots naked intruder
Or how would you respond to a naked man trying to break into your home at 2AM?
West Virginia State Police say a man who had stripped down to nothing tried to break down someone’s door Monday morning.
The man came face-to-face with the homeowner who was armed with a gun and ready to defend his house.
A naked intruder at 2 AM says "drugs" to me. Which just means he is that much more dangerous.
Roberts picked the wrong house along Bulger Road in Alkol. Troopers said the homeowner, who’s in his 60s, grabbed his gun and opened fire, hitting the naked suspect in the shoulder as he tried to break down the door.
And the neighbors are shocked to discover that they are not protected by their zip code.
Neighbors like Bruce Tulley are still stunned.
“Yeah, I’m shocked. I don’t know why he would have been at his door pounding on his door at 2 a.m.,” Tulley said. [SNIP]
“I was a little shocked that it happened. Those are things that don’t happen,” Tulley said.
If you can read this post, then you live in The Real World™ where crime can, and all too often does, happen. You do not live is some magical place where crime does not happen. You should plan accordingly.
The guy who got shot was taken to a local hospital. The homeowner is not facing charges. The investigation continues.
Self-defense is a human-right. Good Guys 1, Bad Guys 0.
