He came home at 9PM and two men forced him, at gunpoint, into his home, where they began searching for valuables.
The man disarmed the gunman and pointed the gun at him. When he charged the resident, the man fired at the robber several times. After the second intruder ran off, the man called 911.
The guy who got shot died at a local hospital.
And even in California, self-defense is a human-right.
