Appearances Can Be Deceiving

If you come in on the middle of something, you don't know what started it. Woman records armed confrontation outside window, shouts at man to put down gun

She saw a dog-walker pointing a gun, but police believe he was just defending himself.

But police said what she couldn’t hear or see was that it was Fitzroy Lyle, the man in the hoodie with the gun pointed at him, who was actually the aggressor.

He threatened to shoot the man and his dog, and he made a move as if for a gun, so the man-with-the-dog retrieved his own weapon.

And it isn't the first time Mr. Lyle threatened a dog-walker in that area. (He must be a cat-person.)

“The good news is that we circled back, and we filled [the witness] in, as Paul Harvey would say, on the rest of the story,” [Stamford Police Captain Richard] Conklin said.

The DA wants to see if they can charge anyone for anything, because that is what the live for. Winning. Justice? It never enters into it. Especially in Connecticut, which is very close to New Jersey in more ways than geographically.
