Police are looking for a man they say shot and killed his ex-girlfriend, 35-year-old Karen Ruiz, in front of their 3-year-old daughter in a horrifying murder that was caught on surveillance video.
And in the only, very tarnished, silver lining... California fugitive who gunned down ex on camera, in front of young daughter kills self in Texas.
Herbert Nixon Flores, 46, was the subject of a nationwide search following the fatal shooting Wednesday of Karen Ruiz. The FBI Fugitive Task Force tracked him to Irving, where authorities said he was visiting family.
Cops managed to locate and track him via helicopter, and unmarked cars, when he saw marked cars closing in on him, he killed himself with a single gunshot wound.
