A questionably named site with the simple idea of illustrating “Chicago values”.
HeyJackass! is one of only two news organizations willing to tell the unvarnished truth about crime in Chicago. The rest are too happy to parrot whatever comes out of City Hall, and Chicago PD.
In the past eight years, we’ve recorded nearly 5,000 homicides (80 by cops), over 23,000 shot and wounded (134 by cops), hundreds of “death investigations” and nearly 250 mass shootings (4 or more victims in a single incident) which have resulted in over 400,000 stupidity-related, yet mostly peaceful data points.
Throw a few bucks their way if you can, or buy some of their swag. We need organizations like this.
