A Tale of Two Shootings

One multi-person shooting in Illinois is of interest to the New York Post. So much interest that there are 3 stories (that I could find.) The one highlighted below and two follow-up stories on the shooter.

The suburban shooting. Beyond suburban, really. Way beyond. Two teens among six shot in Illinois bowling alley attack.

This attack took place, not in suburbia, but in Rockford, probably an hour or 90 minutes from Chicago.

At least two teenagers were among six shot in an apparently random deadly attack at an Illinois bowling alley bar named Shooters — which the owners on Sunday slammed as a “heinous act of violence by an evil coward.”

The other shooting happened on the South Side of Chicago, a week ago. 38 shot, 6 fatally, in Chicago this weekend

Six people were wounded in a single shooting early Saturday at a party on the South Side.

Now I suppose you could say that "no one was killed" in the shooting in Chicago, but you will never convince me that is why one is of interest to the New York Post and the other is not. In one shooting a bunch of poor blacks from the inner city were shot. In the other a bunch of whites in Rockford were shot. Which was of interest to the New York paper?

Of course it isn't just the New York Post that's interested in this Rockford Shooting. Lawyer: Soldier charged in Rockford shooting may have PTSD

Woke? What happened to woke? Well, we can't say bad things about Democrat-controlled Chicago!
