Rules for Thee, But Not for Me

Politicians don't have to follow the RULES. Rules are for little people!. Operating in Plain Sight

So restaurants in Illinois are closed by order of Fatso (Illinois Governor, J. B. Pritzker) and those in Chicago are double closed by an order from Groot. That is Mayor Lori Lightfoot to those of you that don't read Second City Cop. One alderman aldercreature who happens to own a restaurant doesn't seem to care.

You enter the restaurant and ask the staff on the sly, "Can we dine in?" They'll look around and whisper, "Yes" and take you to the "VIP Room." Chances improve dramatically if they know you.

Click thru for photos, including newspapers to help solidify the date in question. Hat tip to CWBChicago, who is happy to name the aldercreature in question.

Lakeview Alderman Tom Tunney (44th) has been offering indoor dining at his flagship Ann Sather restaurant even though the state banned indoor service at restaurants weeks ago.

But hey, you don't really expect politicians to follow their own damn rules, do you? If you do, you have not been paying attention.
