Protests in Leftist France over "Police State" Law

This is a story that is not of interest to the American Media, or so it seems to me. France: Tear gas fired as protesters rally against police security bill

Protesters are rallying across France against a bill that would make it a criminal offence to film or take photos of police with malevolent intent.

Opponents say it undermines press freedom to document police brutality, but the government says it will protect officers. [SNIP]

Earlier this week footage emerged of three white policemen racially abusing and beating a black music producer.

The images, which show Michel Zecler being kicked and punched at his Paris studio, have shocked the nation.

Cops don't want to be on camera, and the French government is happy to oblige. I mean, if you want to create a Police State, you have to make sure that the police are on your side.

Amnesty France said in a statement on their website: "If such a law were to enter into force as it stands, it would constitute a serious violation of the right to information, to respect for private life, and to freedom of peaceful assembly, three conditions which are nevertheless essential to the right to freedom of expression.

Communists (and socialists are no different) always want a police state. Shut up and do what we tell you.
