Media Bias? What Media Bias?

This headline is a bit skewed. Video footage released of Kent police officers’ fatal shooting of 60-year-old man

So "Old Man Shot and Killed By Police" - OR - "Police Return Fire After Fired Upon. Gunman Dead." Which headline paints the cops in a worse light? Well that is why they went with what they did.

Three video clips taken from Kent police officers’ body-worn cameras show officers arriving in a residential neighborhood earlier this month, roughly eight minutes before rifle rounds are fired in rapid succession, ultimately killing a 60-year-old man who reportedly shot at officers.

You can find the video at this link to YouTube. In a couple of frames you can see someone standing on the front porch of the home, holding what appears to be a rifle. And then there is the red laser hitting the window of a deputies car.

This whole thing started due to a "domestic incident" to which the officers were responding. The video starts with part of an interview one deputy is holding with the woman who called 911.

If you point a firearm at police, you should expect that they are going to point their firearms at you. If you are distressed by that notion, then don't point firearms at police.
