Police have worked closely with the Weld District Attorney’s Office, and both agencies declined criminal charges after reviewing all the evidence.
“The shooter has an affirmative defense of self-defense,” police wrote in a news release. “A person is allowed to use deadly force if he reasonably believes lesser force is inadequate, and he believes he is in danger of death or great bodily injury.”
Self-defense is a Human-right.
