I referenced this song back in 2020, but the video was removed, so let's revisit it. It is a beautiful song. It got a fair amount of play on FM stations of the day, but I wasn't listening to FM much in 1969. I may have heard it thanks to cousins, or older siblings of friends from school. It didn't do well enough to reach the Top 40 stations that I would have heard in the car.
FM radio was still an option on a car in 1969, one that my father was not willing to pay for.
This song is "White Bird" by It's a Beautiful Day from their 1969 debut album It's a Beautiful Day.
I remember having the album back in the day. Great song.
