Critical Drinker has been attacked on line for daring to have some issues with the new "Mad Max" movie. A Mad Max movie that doesn't include Mad Max is a bit of an issue for a lot of people. But this story is (mostly) insane.
The thing is, Drinker actually LIKED this movie. He said it was too long (what movie isn't today?) and the CGI had some problems, including the fact that the Mad Max franchise is based on its cool practical stunts. But despite is actually saying that he like the movie, he has been attacked.
Why? Because the Left is losing its collective mind over the fact that this movie tanked at the box office. It isn't alone of course. The Fall Guy, which is mostly reported by critics I trust, to be an excellent movie. One that won't come close to making a profit, but that's what happens when you make a $160 million romantic comedy, banking on nostalgia for a TV show from the 1980s that even Boomers and Gen X don't remember.
This is the Critical Drinker video Furiosa: A Non-Mad Max Saga. It's less than 7 minutes.
