The holidays can be stressful, but this is taking things too far. Woman 'forced to defend herself' in Marlboro Co. shooting on Christmas Day
Officials said that the shooting resulted from several domestic violence incidents that occurred in the weeks leading up to December 25.
On this day, police say the woman was "forced to defend herself," resulting in Nicholas Zapetis being shot several times.
Cops were not aware of the previous incidents before the shooting. The guy who got shot was taken to a local hospital and then to lockup. He was denied bond.
Zapetis has been charged with two counts of domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature. Officials say that additional charges may be forthcoming.
When seconds count, police are only minutes away. Plan accordingly.
