How should a woman who lives alone handle a home invasion by a man climbing through her window in the middle of the night? I wish the gun-hating part of the Left would explain that. Oh, and people in Florida are heavily armed.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, a man broke into a house by smashing the front window. The woman who lives there by herself picked up a gun and shot the intruder.

Pompano Beach is on the Atlantic coast of Florida about half way between Ft. Lauderdale and Boca Raton.

As for the neighbor they interviewed, she was actually the person who called 911, having witnessed the break in.

“This guy came down the road, barefoot, looking behind him like somebody’s after him, and he veered right, went to try her doorknob, couldn’t get in that way, pulled the screen down, just stated busting out the glass, and crawled through the window, and I called 911,” Kerrigan said, adding that she thought the man was “wacked out on something.”

Then Kerrigan heard a gunshot.

She thought it was good that her neighbor was able to defend herself, given the times we live in.

It being the media, they don't like self-defense, but this seems pretty clear cut to me, though I'm not an attorney.
