Even in California, self-defense is legal. Dublin police say man killed in domestic dispute was shot in self defense - CBS San Francisco
Dublin, California is town in the San Francisco Bay Area, about 25 or 30 miles north of San Jose in the east bay. It is about halfway between Hayward and Livermore.
Their investigation found that the victim, 38-year-old Kenneth Krainski, was shot during fight with his estranged wife and another man.
On Sunday, Nov. 20, officers were called to the Sofi Apartments on San Ramon. Police said there was a dispute between a man, woman, and Krainski, the woman's estranged husband. During the argument, a fight took place between the two men, which resulted in the estranged husband being fatally shot.
Investigators have confirmed that the shooting was in self-defense, though the DA can still bring changes. DAs HATE self-defense.
I suppose that this is another edition of the continuing saga of "How dare you live without me." Maybe it is a different kind of insanity.
Self-defense is a human-right. It may even be your legal right in California.
