You're doing it wrong. Seriously wrong. Father and teen son shot at innocent woman after neighbor delivered package, deputies say
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd announced the charges in a news conference, which he began by saying, “Now what I’m about to tell you, you just cannot believe. This ranks among the craziest stuff that I have seen in a while — and I’ve seen a lot of crazy stuff.”
A guy dropped off a package in front of their apartment. Even though he just dropped the package, and left, they thought someone was trying to break in. Why? Don't know.
Then they decided to go look for the non-existent burglar, and ended up shooting at an innocent woman.
The number of things these two geniuses did wrong are legion. Why assume someone was trying to break in, when no one was trying to break in? Why decide that you need to go looking for the person who didn't break in? Why settle on the first person you find, who was just reading text messages? Why?
Both Colonacosta and his son were charged with multiple felonies, including attempted murder.
Definitely something in the water.
This is Peak Florida, at least for today.
