It's All Fun and Games Until the Paychecks Start Bouncing

I'm shocked that a lesbian-owned business went out of business and stiffed a bunch of "family" in the process. From The Other McCain: Employees Shocked as Lesbian Vegan Doughnut Shop Goes Out of Business.

As I have mentioned in the past, "The [snark] runs deep in this one."

By the way, don’t let my habitual sarcasm lead you to mistakenly assume I am against lesbian vegan doughnuts. I mean, if you’re looking for vegan doughnuts, why not get them from authentic local lesbians who seek to “conserve natural resources, promote health and animal welfare”? And get yourself some delicious inclusive diversity while you’re at it.

They didn't pay their landlord. They didn't pay their employees. Folks in the comments wondered if they paid their taxes, unemployment insurance, etc. BTW don't skip the comments, they are worth a look as well. Some of them, anyway.

One thing that is conspicuous by its absence is any mention of competition. Starbucks - at least in the past - would have seen Glory Doughnuts as a competitor, and done everything to contribute to their demise they could think of. Lots of discount coffee, deals on pastries, whatever. While the current management of Starbucks is a bit clueless (and woke), the old management didn't build that juggernaut by playing softball with competitors.

As for lesbian-owned businesses... they are run by people who didn't do well in high school math (typically) and if they have a college degree it is likely in a offended feminist inter-sectional BS, or some other touchy-feely subject. (Where do you think all of this "hard sciences are part of the patriarchy" and "2+2=4 is sexist/racist/whatever" comes from?) Like a lot of the Left, people act on what sounds good, what makes them feel good, and to be frank, wishful thinking. Cost-benefit analysis? Cash flows? A-B-C inventory analysis?
