The 3-year-old boy who spent nearly 30 minutes at the bottom of Lake Michigan after his aunt allegedly tossed him off of Navy Pier and watched him drown has died, according to records from the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
He spent 30 minutes on the bottom of Lake Michigan.

“Not once,” [prosecutor Lorraine] Scaduto alleged, “did the defendant scream for help, call for help, ask for help, or try herself to help.”
The defendant is on various medications for mental health conditions. But keeping her confined for her own safety and the safety of others is not done, not fair, or something. It is certainly not fair to the family of the dead kid
