Red State is up first with a disturbing bit of news. Leaked Documents Show FBI Equating Basic American Terminology With 'Violent Extremism'

It is extremely alarming to learn the FBI is so casually conflating common, basic American terminology and Americana with violent extremists. It seems they are genuinely setting up Americans for punishment based on the most basic, common expressions of totally average patriotism.

The Other McCain is up next with a distrubing bit of news from the Climate Change front. Give War a Chance?

You might be a “climate change” fanatic if . . .

Lawrence Person's BattleSwarm Blog - Is Russia’s Economy Collapsing? Lots of details, mostly not coming from Russia.

Is Russia’s economy collapsing? Not quite yet. Actual economic collapse is what we’re seeing in Sri Lanka: You can’t buy food, you can’t buy fuel, and you can’t keep the lights on. Russia isn’t there yet. However, the authors do present compelling evidence that Russia’s economy is contracting quite dramatically, ...

First Street Journal - Killadelphia!: Philly is now ahead of last year's record pace, but the Inquirer hasn't noticed.

This is no surprise; we all knew it was coming. With three homicides in the City of Brotherly Love yesterday, Philadelphia has now moved slightly ahead of the pace of murders in 2021, the year which set the city’s annual record of 562.

Again from The Other McCain - Is @MaxBlumenthal on the Kremlin Payroll? (And Other Ukraine Questions)

My best guess is that nobody at the White House was prepared for Russia’s invasion, but neither did they belief that Ukraine could inflict such heavy casualties on the Russians and thus produce this kind of drawn-out conflict, which has had very bad political consequences for Biden. So they want to pressure Zelensky into some kind of “peace for our time” negotiated ceasefire that Team Biden can then spin as a foreign-policy “success.” But that’s just my guess, and it’s entirely possible that nobody in D.C. really knows what their ideal end-game is or how they’ll achieve it.

Meep at Stump - Against "Slightly Against Underpopulation Worries"

To keep this post focused, I want to address my concern about population trends, which are effects on public finance, particularly on pensions and Social Security-type systems.

And again from The Other McCain - BOOM! America’s Best Governor Suspends Rogue Tampa Prosecutor

The local Tampa Bay Times doesn’t like DeSantis, but is compelled to admit crime has skyrocketed since Warren took office in 2016: [SNIP]

The paper also tries to dance around the fact that Soros donated millions to the Florida Democratic Party to help elect Warren.

90 Miles from Tyranny - Athlete deaths are 1700% higher than expected since COVID vaccine rollout

An investigation of official statistics has found that the number of athletes who have died since the beginning of 2021 has risen exponentially compared to the yearly number of deaths of athletes officially recorded between 1966 and 2004.

So much so that the monthly average number of deaths between January 2021 and April 2022 is 1,700% higher than the monthly average between 1966 and 2004, and the current trend for 2022 so far shows this could increase to 4,120% if the increased number of deaths continues
