You have to wonder what this guy thought he was going to do. Homeowner shoots, kills man during attempted home invasion in York County, sheriff’s office says

A family was just sitting on their deck.

The man jumped the gate when the homeowner and his family were sitting out on their deck, according to sheriff’s office spokesperson Shelley Ward. The family had retreated into their house and locked the door when the man started kicking down the door, Ward said. That’s when the homeowner shot the man.

Neighbors, in an odd turn of events, where not shocked and were supportive of the defender. Or the one neighbor interviewed, anyway.
