The Left Didn't Want Strong Men, So They Have None

Isn't this what the Left wanted? It might not be what they wanted, it is certainly what they asked for. Where are all the men? - American Thinker

A woman is accosted by a man on a NY Subway. No one comes to her aid, even though there were other passengers on the train.

Australian news anchor Rita Panahi, calls this a sign of 'societal decay,' and wants to know "Where are the men?"

American Thinker has the answer:

If I had to guess, they were standing in their place, checking their male privilege, toning down their toxic masculinity, and coping with how their Time's Up. Perhaps the men wanted a demonstration of how women are actually the stronger sex. Perhaps the threat level just did not seem that high to them; New York has a duty to retreat, after all. Besides, New York has been in the habit of arresting those who defend themselves.

Most likely, the men who were on the train did not care about this woman. They did not know her and were not likely to ever get to know her. How could it be worth it for these men to possibly be killed or maimed (it is unknown if the aggressor had a knife) for the sake of someone who may as well not exist to them?

Mentioned are George Zimmerman, and Kyle Rittenhouse, and what they went through for defending themselves. There is of course of key difference. No one on a New York City Subway is legally armed. Add in the "duty to retreat" and stepping up seems like a bad idea.

While I could quote Yeats, talking about how "The best lack all conviction," or I could quote Hobbes, about the state of war that exists when there is no power (police power) to hold all in check. Instead I will quote the Graham Killhouse Rules:

1. NOBODY IS COMING TO SAVE YOU.  Whether an event lasts a few seconds, a few hours, or even a few days – you have to work as though nobody is coming to save you.

2. You are your savior, so start working because EVERYTHING IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.  You are your security, you are your medic, you are your rescuer.

3. You are your own best resource to SAVE WHO NEEDS TO BE SAVED.  Nobody wants to save your life more than you, so set yourself up for success by having the simple tools and knowledge to do so: do what you can with what you have.  Recognize that nobody is in a better position to start saving your life than you.

4. Sometimes saving lives means you have to KILL WHO NEEDS TO BE KILLEDIt has been almost 15 years since I first wrote “the more effective you are at taking a life, the more successful you’ll be at saving one” and nothing in the intervening time has changed my mind.  Be swift, be decisive, be final.

5. Mostly, ALWAYS BE WORKING.  There is always something you can be doing to improve your position.  Always.  Because nobody is coming to save you.

Nowhere is this more true that in Blue Cities, where all the law-abiding have been disarmed, the lawyers will let the bad guys go, but prosecute the citizens for daring to stand up for themselves. (You MUST rely on the STATE!).
