Two of her cronies staffers have been indicted on charges related to an $11 million contract about "vaccine outreach." It was awarded to a friend of the judge, and was only retracted when the political fallout became too thick.
Recall, radical far-left judge Lina Hidalgo was one of the most aggressive Covid tyrants in Texas during the pandemic.
While she was threatening to jail and fine people for violating her Covid rules, she was secretly trying to award one of her political cronies an $11 million ‘vaccine outreach’ contract.
OK. I'm not shocked.
Back at the very beginning she seized a bunch of masks which were sold at auction to the highest bidder, who happened to be local law enforcement and FEMA. She was making mouth noises about "price gouging" until someone must have pointed out that you can't have gouging if the seller doesn't set the price, and that that is how auctions work. She then claimed she would pay the seller (via the auctioneer) a "fair" price, ie. one she felt like paying. Never did though. Last time I talked with the auctioneer, she'd never paid a dime. Kept the masks too.
ReplyDeleteHow she got into office and why she was running EMgmt and not our well liked, well respected, and VERY experienced Ed Emmett was the very last "straight party ticket" vote in Texas. She rode in on the party vote. Had zero EMgmt experience. Hopefully we will get rid of the tyrannical parasite next time.
