The gun-hating Left likes to say that if you own a gun you are more likely to shoot someone you know, than a perfect stranger. There is a reason for that; people you know are more likely to be a threat. Man shot son in self-defense, deputies say.
In this case a son was shot by his father. And after he received medical treatment, he was arrested.
Authorities say Corey's arrest has stemmed from an incident with his mother the night before. Corey has been charged with second-degree assault and battery.
Deputies responded to find the man conscious and alert. He was taken to a hospital, but left the hospital before being discharged. During the investigation, deputies say it appears the father shot the son in self defense.
Self-defense is a human-right. As is defense of family, even if you have to defend yourself against someone you know.
Yeah, I kinda saw through that one long æons ago. For most killings, there's a motive, and it's most likely to be a personal motive of some sort. Ergo, killing of strangers is uncommon.
ReplyDeleteYMMV if you live in a society in which highwaymen routinely murder passersby and make off with their goods, or in which it's open season on convenience-store clerks. Or if you live in a literal war zone; keeping "our lads" from being acquainted with "that lot" has been a recognized necessity since the Christmas Truce.
