Cops are investigating if this is a hate crime. Woman stabbed to death inside NYC apartment, cops say.
A neighbor called 911 because of the screams. The suspect was still in the apartment when cops got there; he barricaded himself inside, and they called NYPD’s Emergency Service Unit to break in.
The woman was dead in the bathtub.
As for bail reform:
According to sources, Nash has three open cases in Manhattan dating to last year, including a charge of criminal tampering from an arrest last month, and two busts from last year for possession of stolen property and assault.
He has more than a half-dozen other arrests dating to 2015, sources said.
And now he has been arrested for murder.
The New York Daily Post confirmed that she was an Asian woman, but there are conflicting details on whether or not the cops believe this was an anti-Asian hate crime. The most you can say is that the investigation continues.
And you can say that bail reform claimed another life. Because keeping violent offenders in jail is unfair.
How is it a hate crime if he only murdered her?
ReplyDeleteThey believe she was another of the Asians targeted for anti-Asian hate crimes.
DeleteOr that she may have been, anyway.
