Officials say 25-year-old Shawn Blake Watts arrived at a residence ..., entered the home and assaulted the homeowner. During the ongoing assault, the homeowner retrieved a pistol and shot Watts, according to authorities.
Watts was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. Another person with Watts was shot in the leg, treated at the hospital and released. Not sure why he was released.
The police have not filed charges against anyone.
Self-defense is a human-right, and mostly it seems to be your legal right in Oklahoma.
Since his accomplice was killed in the commision of a felony, the survivor should have been charged with his death.
ReplyDeleteHitting the guy in the leg hints that the homeowner should visit the range more often, or take a good self defense handgun course. I realize ammo is expensive, dry practice can be very effective at improving your marksmanship.
