Cops asked him not to say anything.
Law enforcement sources familiar with the investigation said Cooper — who’s in the process of building a two-story addition to the back of his grand home — had previously been burglarized. He was at home with at least two relatives when the man he shot apparently jumped over the wrought-iron gate surrounding the house.
A possible confrontation and an actual shooting followed.
It is New Orleans, so the cops/DA are still hoping to charge the homeowner with something. The investigation continues.
That doesn't change the fact that self-defense is a human-right.
Just because a person has the RIGHT to remain silent does not mean they have the ABILITY to remain silent. Too often innocent people are their own worst enemy when it comes to dealing with the legal system.
