Cops Still Haven't Come to Terms with SWATting

And once they know that they have been hit with a hoax, shouldn't they stop searching the house in question? Covington ‘swatting’ hoax arose from son’s video game squabble, father says

For those of you who are geographically challenged, Covington, Kentucky is just across the Ohio River from Cincinnati.

A 17-year-old kid was in an argument with someone while playing a video game. Ten minutes later there is a SWAT respsonse to his home.

The man says it took them and police a while to figure out what had happened.

He says he’s still alarmed that even after police learned the call was fake, they continued to search his home for nearly an hour.

At least no one was injured this time.

And I hope someone has to explain why they have "probable cause" for a search, after they realize that there is nothing going on relative to the original, bogus, 911 call. Maybe the 4th Amendment is just dead.
