And Sunday morning... 1 killed, 6 injured in Auburn Gresham shooting; suspect in custody | WGN-TV

Seven people were shot inside a lounge on the city’s South Side early Sunday morning, with one person dying from their injuries, according to police.

Police said a 37-year-old man was in a verbal altercation with a 24-year-old man inside of the lounge in the 1800 block of West 87th Street at approximately 2:05 a.m. when the 24-year-old man revealed a handgun and opened fire.

Lori Lightfoot (better known as Mayor Groot) will talk about "gun violence." It isn't the gun that was violent, it was the guy wielding it.

And clearly the problem is there are not enough after school, or other programs, to give people something to do. Though he had something to do. He was drinking in a lounge.

And what is the difference between a lounge and a bar?

UPDATE: From HeyJackass! we get the picture of the entire weekend. Mostly Peaceful Weekend

“All hands on deck” will be about as successful as the image above.

Final Peaceful Tally: 13 killed, 73 wounded
2020 weekend tally: 5 killed, 40 wounded
2019 weekend tally: 5 killed, 46 wounded
2018 weekend tally: 1 killed, 37 wounded

  1. Even though this is a "high number" multiple shooting, I don't expect that this will receive much in the way of national media coverage.

It also wasn't the only multiple-victim shooting in Chicago that took place in the early morning hours of Sunday.

They might cover Lori Lightfoot (Mayor Groot) and her "All Hands on Deck" approach to fighting crime, but if you look at one of my previous posts from this morning, you can see that is becoming a bad joke.

  2. Note the increasing kill per wounded ratio. Either the shooters are changing demographics OR all that practice finally paid off.

Course with the price of ammo...

    1. I think some of that might come from the trauma centers being overwhelmed.
