The State of Mental Health Means This Guy is on the Street

He assaulted 5 people. He caused a disturbance at 2 separate businesses. But they can't hold him. Man accused of attacking nurses in Nashville parking garage arrested twice in 24 hours | WKRN News 2

They can't hold him or charge him because of his mental health.

The Office of District Attorney, Glenn Funk told News 2 they cannot legally prosecute Brown because the U.S. Constitution prohibits the prosecution of an individual who does not have the mental capacity to understand their actions.

And the also, apparently, can't commit him to a mental hospital. Do those even exist anymore? So he is just on the street assaulting people, because we didn't like the images in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

The 67-year-old has a lengthy criminal history, having been arrested more than 200 times since 1975, including multiple assault charges, according to police.

Eventually someone will probably kill him. Who are we being compassionate too, with the elimination of these programs?
