Self-defense Is Legal in Florida

There was a restraining order in place, and supposedly he was on his way to an anger management class. Pensacola stand your ground: Woman in fatal shooting won't be charged

"I think what the unique part of this incident is, is the violent intent," [Escambia County Sheriff Chip] Simmons told the News Journal. "The suspect had an active domestic violence injunction on him, and so, he wasn’t supposed to be there, and he was also reportedly on his way to anger management treatment."

So the restraining order didn't restrain, and the anger management class didn't help him manage his anger.

In a short clip of the footage that the ECSO posted to Facebook on Wednesday, a man can be seen standing on the home's front porch and yelling profanities as he tries to kick down the front door. It took six kicks for the door to break open, at which point the man enters the house and yells "Let’s f---ing play!" before the video ends.

He grabbed a knife and headed to a rear bedroom where he was shot twice.

Self-defense is a human-right. And if you need a restraining order, then you also need a plan for your personal safety.
