A Crime App Details Crimes Near You

This article talks about Chicago, but the Citizen app alerts you to crime, accidents, fires and other activity in your area. It started in NYC, moved to San Francisco, and is in many cities today. It is not everywhere.

"So effective, Progressives want to cancel it." I think that sums it up nicely. Chicago’s Most Popular New Social Media Platform: Citizen

Why do Progressives hate it? Because they don't like people to know the truth.

“The Citizen App may be Kim Foxx’s worst nightmare,” says one Northside resident. “It’s almost humorous how even Lincoln Park, Ravenswood and Old Irving Park moms who talk about defunding the police or otherwise embrace anti-police narratives begin to freak out when they see the frequency and location of gun shots, shootings, carjackings and assaults literally in their backyard once they start getting Citizen alerts.”

And it is turning up the heat on politicians.

“More and more people are complaining about the frequency of carjackings in Gold Coast, Lakeview and Lincoln Park to city officials based largely on what they learn on Citizen” he notes. “It’s already starting to make a difference in how comfortable people feel with their surroundings.”

And Progressive's response seems to be that this particular Truth will foster racism. Personally, I think that if you are afraid of the Truth, you are doing something really wrong.

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
      — The Gospel according to John, verse 8:32

You can find the app at this link. The "Explore" tab will show you if it covers your city. It covers Cincinnati (which surprised me) and Indianapolis, but not Tampa and not Seattle (both of those suprised me).

    Let that soak in..

Sounds like educating people to the actual hazards that surround them is somehow not a good thing.
Can't have people situationaly aware. Gosh, they might demand that the politicians and cops take appropriate action
AAAND they just might push to reclaim the right to shoot the assholes Without having to hire a lawyer to protect yourself from the system that seems to be on the wrong side of everything.
