Evidence? Facts? It Is ALL About Feelings!

The Other McCain asks, "What Was George Floyd Doing?"

Most people seem to believe that Derek Chauvin is going to be found guilty, simply because of the emotional content of the testimony, and I suppose they’re right.

His previous overdose, his criminal activity, are all to be ignored. And the principle fact is especially to be ignore.

And the fact is that George Floyd died of a fentanyl overdose, with three times the lethal level of fentanyl in his system. It was obvious to Chauvin and the other cops on the scene that Floyd was under the influence of something, but they had no way of knowing that he had swallowed enough fentanyl to kill himself. However much emotion is generated by the video of Chauvin with his knee on Floyd’s neck, that’s not what killed him.

But again, none of that matters in the 21st Century.

  1. Chauvin...and the other cops who pinned Floyd to the ground need to be convicted of a crime.
Because they COMMITTED a crime. Yes....Floyd had Fentanyl in his system. Perhaps enough to kill him....we will NEVER KNOW if he would have died from the Fentanyl because the cops KILLED HIM FIRST. How? It's called "positional asphyxia". They knelt on his neck, chest and abdomen for more than NINE MINUTES. When that much weight...in this case at least SIX HUNDRED POUNDS is applied to someone laying on the ground their respiratory musculature is INCAPABLE of expanding the lungs enough to take in air and oxygenate the blood. The person is suffocated.... SLOWLY AND PAINFULLY. Even AFTER Floyd passed out and stopped moving, speaking or resisting the cops STAYED ON HIS BODY for several minutes....INSURING that he was dead. So while George Floyd apparently WAS using Fentanyl and it MIGHT have killed him eventually the fact is it DID NOT. He was SUFFOCATED by the cops....whose stayed on top of him even after he was handcuffed and NOT MOVING for several minutes. THOSE ARE THE FACTS.
Mr. Floyd's drug use in this case is IRRELEVANT. It's a red herring to fool the feeble minded into the belief that the cops did nothing wrong. This was a case of manslaughter. WILLFUL FIRST DEGREE MANSLAUGHTER.

  2. Like the note says: emotional arguments. The officer's knee was on the perp's back, not his neck. The man resisted arrest and fought the officers. The fact is he contributed mightily to his own death. Even with handcuffs on he fighting and disobeying the policemen in their legal orders.
