People died as a result of her action. That should be at least manslaughter. Woman whose 911 calls led to Harding Street raid pleads guilty to lying charge
Garcia’s phone calls eventually led Houston police narcotics officers to raid the Tuttles’ home. The operation, on Jan. 28, 2019, led to a shootout that ended with the Tuttles’ deaths and four officers wounded by gunfire. In the aftermath of the raid, police investigating the incident accused the officer who led the raid, Gerald Goines, of lying on a search warrant affidavit about buying drugs at the home.
An officer lying on a search warrant? Color me shocked. Since his actions also helped people die, you can guess how I feel about Goines. And actually he is charged with felony murder, tampering, and a few other things.
Two people, who were not criminals, were targeted by a neighbor. Cops took the neighbor's word, did NO investigation, and set up a no-knock warrant. Officers were shot, people died, over a couple of lies, all because the War on (Some) Drugs™ has to be fought.
The woman does indeed need to be charged along with the officer who reviewed the officer's decision to lead a no knock raid. These need to be abolished. Will their family get 27 million, somehow I doubt it unlwss they are black.
