What happens when you make something cheaper? You get more of it. And in New York City, there is no cost to committing crime.
Mayor Adams wants to make sure that people "feel safe." I would think it would be a better idea to actually make them safe. But I'm not stupid enough to live in NYC.

The NYPD [is seen] arresting a man accused of at least two stabbings on the subway last week. We're now learning the suspect has been arrested - drum roll please - 87 times. So if you're wondering why New York City has a Subway crime problem that just won't go away, this is your reason; our Progressive Justice System allows people to commit the same offenses over and over again. Yet they never get sent to jail.
